#17

1. I think more multimedia projects should be encouraged in ceramics III. For instance, wind chimes or mobiles would require students to think outside of just clay; preparation including relative weights and contrasting materials would be necessary.

2. I don't think I do have a personal style. If I do, it's one that a real artist would laugh at: maximum efficiency. I can imagine you right now reading this and shaking your head and chuckling but it's true.  Efficiency is king, and all my pieces were wrought trying to maximize effect while minimizing difficulty. Each piece that I made either plays to my strong suits or doesn't require a strong suit at all, just an interesting idea.

3. My art work has shown minimal growth over the year (sorry). Conversely, my interest in art has grown exponentially.. I recently visited the Art Institute of Chicago, and, for the first time in a very, very long history of museum going, I wanted to stay longer than my father.  Bear with me as I get philosophical but I think it's because of a loss of imagination.  Growing up, I was never starved for aesthetics simply because everything was so incredibly interesting.  Now I find myself searching for scenery, in walks and pictures and exhibits. If this new interest continues to grow I feel as though I will certainly grow as an artist.

4. The blog experience wasn't all that bad. It was a little bit annoying but it gave me space to say things that otherwise would have been left unsaid.
